With its striking late 19th century architecture, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center in Downtown Clarksville is not one to miss. The building and adjoining museum had a long history as a post office before being placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. By 1983, the museum had become a historical museum for Montgomery County and has since become a focal point for Clarksville. Today, you can view exhibitions of how the original postmaster’s office would have looked, as well as a traditional log home display. Temporary exhibitions of arts, crafts and scientific displays make for a fascinating family visit.

Before you reach Hopkinsville, merge onto I-169 North and then take Exit 36A onto Western Kentucky Parkway. Merge onto I-65 North, which continues into Louisville.
